Heritage Discovery Programs are featured on Thursday evenings in July, August, and September, shown in the Martin Hanson Theatre at the Northern Great Lakes Center.

These programs highlight:

1. Ethnic heritage events, history, and culture;
2. Historical information about the industries, trades and transportation of early settlers in northern Wisconsin;
3. Cultural presentations, showcasing the people of northern Wisconsin.

Programs have included a taste of ethnic foods, folk dancing and Chautauqua characters booked from the Wisconsin Humanities Council, and Native American storytelling.
