Heritage Discovery Programs are featured on Thursday evenings in July, August, and September, shown in the Martin Hanson Theatre at the Northern Great Lakes Center. These programs highlight: 1. Ethnic heritage events, history, and culture; Programs have included a taste of ethnic foods, folk dancing and Chautauqua characters booked from the Wisconsin Humanities Council, and Native American storytelling. "Up Under The Upper Lake" This multi-image, historical, musical slide presentation is a special Heritage Connection show. "Up Under The Upper Lake" is a production of the Nelson-Ferris Concert Company. Warren Nelson and Betty Ferris developed the music and stories of this 28-minute show that tells the history of the region in a unique way. It has become a favorite of young and old alike. Chequamegon Bay Rendezvous, June 16, 17, 18, 2006 Heritage Folklife Festival, September 30, 2006 Lake Superior Heritage Highways Project Lake Superior Heritage Highways (LSHH) is a Wisconsin Heritage Tourism site, sponsored by the Northern Wisconsin Heritage Connection and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. The project highlights the cultural heritage of the region.
